The new NetControl 2.0.0.173 software update is released and ready for download. Beside many improvements and added support for more projectors we also included new features. One of the new features is a menu item for adding multiple devices at once. The feature allows the user to add with a single mouse click as many devices as needed. Adding 600 more projectors to NetControl is now a matter of seconds. Check out the new software update and let us know what you think.

NetControl allows users to add multiple devices at once

NetControl is a 100% software-based AV room control system. No expensive control hardware is required when NetControl is used together with network projectors and flat panel displays. Many school districts and universities around the world are using NetControl successfully. You can find more information on our website http://www.bitlogix.com/netcontrol/

Sharp LCD monitor / flat panel display control tool

The Sharp LCD monitor control software tool was designed for the LCD monitors Sharp AQUOS LC-42D64U, Sharp AQUOS LC-46D64U, Sharp AQUOS LC-52D64U and similar models. The software activates the “power on command” setting in standby mode to enable remote management of Sharp LCD monitors. The LCD monitor has to be connected to the network. The software does not require any special installation and can be used from within your internet browser.

The Sharp LCD monitor control software tool works with all Java enabled operating systems such as Apple MAC OS X, Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise, Ubuntu Linux, Oracle Solaris x86 and SPARC, FreeBSD. Java SE 1.6 is required.

We added the Smart Board UF55 and UF55W projectors to our supported projector list. Both models can be controlled by NetControl 2.0 (version 2.0.0.153 and up). The SMART UF55 and UF55W projectors are network projectors for interactive whiteboards and can be connected directly over the LAN without additional control hardware. NetControl 2.0 allows the direct control of the SMART Board projectors without the need of proprietary control hardware.  Software – Network – Projector. Done!

We added a short webcast on how to setup a SMART UF55 projector within NetControl 2.0.

NetControl supports SMART Board UF55 Network Projector

Support for other SMART Board projectors will follow soon.

Here is a list of all supported devices by NetControl 2.0.

Our development team added support for

Eiki LC-XL100
Eiki LC-XL200
Eiki LC-XL100L
Eiki LC-XL200L

to our latest NetControl 2.0 software RC1 release. All projector models do support the PJLink protocol over a LAN. No extra control hardware is required to control the Eiki projectors over the network. NetControl makes it easy to setup PJLink projectors from many different manufacturers. Please check our supported device list for further details.

NetControl supports EIKI LC-XL200 PJLink protocol enabled projector

NetControl is the universal projector control software to control and manage projectors from different projector manufacturers. Flat Panel Displays are also supported.

The latest software release of NetControl 2.0 adds support for new Sanyo network projector models. All four models support the universal PJLink protocol.

Sanyo PLC-XM100
Sanyo PLC-XM150
Sanyo PLC-XM100L
Sanyo PLC-XM150L

The PJLink protocol enables the direct connection and control of the network projector over a LAN without any additional control hardware. Many Bitlogix NetControl customers switch to PJLink protocol enabled projectors to avoid excessive cost of third party control system hardware. The new NetControl 2.0 projector control and management software is today the most cost effective solution for projector control over the data network.

We received the information from our QA-Team that Bitlogix NetControl 2.0 projector control software is also approved for Windows Server 2008 R2. NetControl 2.0 can run under Windows Server 2008 R2 with limited user rights and does not require elevated administrator permissions. This is especially important for Remote Desktop Connections in a multi-user usage scenario. NetControl 2.0 is able to control and monitor projectors and flat panel displays over a network connection for each active user independently.

Here is the complete list of supported operating systems (32-bit and 64-bit):

Windows 7
Windows Server 2008
Windows Server 2008 R2
Windows Server 2003
Windows Vista
Windows XP

NetControl 2.0 provides a complete classroom and room control system for projector and display control with status report functionality (email alert for lamp and filter replacement, filter cleaning, etc.), offline notification with email notification and event management for projector on/off, input switching actions. NetControl provides the power and infrastructure to control and monitor the latest PJLink network projectors,  older RS2332 control port enabled projectors, or network port enabled flat panel displays over the LAN or WAN.

NetControl 2.0 RC1 is approved for the following 32-bit and 64-bit operation systems:

Windows 7
Windows Server 2008
Windows Server 2003
Windows Vista
Windows XP

For customers with other operating systems such as Apple MAC OS X, Linux, Oracle Solaris, OpenSolaris, FreeBSD we recommend VirtualBox to run NetControl 2.0. NetControl 2.0 can be installed for users with limited user rights and permissions in complex network environments.

A software trial version for NetControl 2.0 is available here.

The 3M SCP716, SCP716W and SCP712 Whiteboard Projectors (Super Close Projection System) are now supported by Bitlogix NetControl 2 projector control software. Bitlogix NetControl 2.0 controls projectors and flat panel displays over a network connection. In many cases extra and expensive hardware is not required. Most newer projectors and flat panel displays already have built-in network ports.

Please download the latest NetControl 2 software and give it a try. Here is the link to all NetControl 2.0 supported projectors and flat panel displays:  http://www.bitlogix.com/products/software/netcontrol/netcontrol_supported_devices.php

The company Roemtech (www.roemtech.com)  is a longtime Bitlogix partner for classroom control systems and NetControl network projector control software. They recently introduced a new stereo amplifier/mixer with a very interesting Hummbuster technology.  This new technology is switchable allowing flexibility in resolving ground loop issues, should they arise. The PMA-245H is a dual input, 18 volt, 45 watt, plenum rated stereo amplifier/mixer. Enjoy the video presentation.

NetControl 2.0 supports now the LG flat panel displays M3203C and M3703C. Many customers asked us to include support for the LG M3203C and M3703C flat panel displays to our upcoming NetControl 2.0 release. The displays are equipped with network ports and do not require any extra control hardware to monitor and manage them over the LAN or even WAN.
